Where does Hamster & Company come from?
It all started with a hamster. To be more precise, it all started with a hamster having a problem that needed to be solved.
Julie had just moved into a new apartment in Bordeaux and was looking for a way to distract her pet hamster, which was obviously in a state of advanced depression. She searched for ideas online, but having found nothing that really interested her, she had the idea to create her own website – a site specifically designed for hamsters and their owners.
Why hamsters? Because they are cute, funny, and easy to photograph! The drift towards guinea pigs, gerbils, and chinchillas was predictable (because passionate) and quickly made its way onto the site.
